At the Better Hiring Institute, we have compiled this guidance to assist UK employers hiring international employees into their organisations.
The changes to right to work verification in October 2022 did not change the process already in force for checking non-British or Irish workers. For EU workers, the worker must provide a share code which can be checked on the .GOV website, which will verify the status of those under the EU Settlement Scheme or EU Skilled Workers.
We have compiled a general overview of the recruitment of international workers in the UK, as well as more specific guidance for different sectors.
